This is a collection of essays and editorials that I have written on a variety of subjects. Some have only been published on the web, but others were originally submitted to local newspapers or other forums. The date indicated on each essay is the date that the final draft was written. In most cases, reformatting of the text has occurred since that date, but the text itself is unchanged unless a revision date is indicated.

In all cases, it should be understood that the opinions expressed in these essays are mine alone, and do not reflect in any way on the opinions of my web service provider, or any other person or institution. I have tried diligently to be accurate in my facts, but I have not always cited references. I would be glad to receive any references (especially to on-line sources) which either support or refute the facts discussed here.
